Redshirt senior A.J. Davis was named Colonial Athletic Association player of the week this morning. The guard went off Saturday night against William & Mary scoring a career high 36 points off the bench for the Dukes. He also grabbed five rebounds, four steals, and three blocks in arguably his best overall performance of the season. Davis checked into the game just two minutes in and played the remaining 38 minutes to lift JMU over W&M 69-67. He finished the regular season averaging 11.3 points/game.
The two teams meet again Saturday night at the Richmond Coliseum in the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
