Diamond Dukes weekend update

The Dukes finished a four game sweep of Hartford Sunday afternoon with a 11-9 walk-off victory in 11 innings. This was powered by freshman Bobby San Martin's bomb to left field that also plated second baseman Casey Goss. It was his second homerun in as many days.

They outscored the Hawks 38-16 over the weekend.

JMU has now climbed back to .500 at 6-6. The team seems to be fixing some problems that coach Spanky McFarland alluded to after the Maryland loss last Tuesday.

The team faces a home and home with Radford Tuesday in Harrisonburg and Wednesday in Radford before the first CAA series of the year begins Friday with Hofstra rolling into town.

   Last years results against Hofstra:
   April 20- Win- 13-2
   April 21- Win- 20-14
   April 22- Loss- 15-13

This weekend's box scores:
