So what's the difference between a 16 and 1 seed? Well, you could break down statistics, program history, talent, coaches, but I'm gonna tell you what I think is the one simple difference. Clicks of the camera. That's right. Thursday afternoon, JMU players Devon Moore, A.J. Davis, Rayshawn Goins, and Andre Nation alongside Coach Brady answered questions for the media around 12:30 p.m. As the 16 seed they were covered by strictly a few writers, including one from the Richmond Times Dispatch (who's finally showing JMU some love after years of little coverage). The RTD has traditionally focused on Virginia Tech and Virginia with a splash of Richmond. After VCU made their 2011 Final Four, they began getting the attention they deserved. Now it may be JMU's time as many national outlets have put their focus on the Shenandoah Valley's finest.
When IU took the stage there were a few more journalists present, as players Cody Zeller, Christian Watford, Jordan Hulls, and Victor Oladipo and Coach Tom Crean addressed the media, but it was the cameras that were the true difference.

Almost a dozen or more photographers flooded the media room snapping pictures of the players like they were Kim Kardashian sporting a new face lift. Nothing against him, but Zeller isn't the most handsome guy here in Dayton. Thousands upon thousands clicks resonated through the room like it was the red carpet at the Oscar's. A live feed of from ESPNU showing Tom Crean's interview sealed the deal.
This isn't out of the ordinary though. I mean President Obama has the Hoosiers winning it all. They're in the limelight and they rightfully should be. This just helps put into perspective what it's like. Maybe if the 16 seed got some more clicks of the camera, they might have won once in 112 tries. Food for thought.
