First half thoughts

O-HI JMU-O The Dukes got going early and haven't looked back. A 10-2 start to the game got the Dukes partyin' like it was March 11, 2013..sorry not 1999.

The key to this was to set the pace and the tone. JMU has done both perfectly. A Goins-less first half was led by Charles Cooke. The freshman guard already has doubled his season average with 10 points on 4-5 shooting, 2-3 from deep. Brady chose Cooke to fill in for Goins in the first half and it played to his advantage. He was definitely the first half MVP.

Dukes finished 12-27 from the field and an impressive 6-15 from deep. A key factor in the first half was points off turnovers. JMU scored 15 points off eight Blackbird turnovers.

LIU leading scorer Jamal Olasewere already has three fouls, which is very good news for JMU.

LIU beat JMU on the glass 20-12, but the Dukes beat them in the assists, 8-6.

32-31 at the break.

Alley-OOP Moore to Davis with some Ohio spice
