Does the shoe really fit the foot?

Halftime: JMU 40 vs Northeastern 18

It is hard to put into words how tonight's first half played out. The James Madison Dukes led by 20+ points over the top seeded Northeastern Huskies for practically all of the first half.

The Dukes are quite frankly, playing out of their mind. This team has not played this dominant for such a long stretch against any opponent all year long. They started early and haven't looked back.

The team shot 51.6% from the field in the first half while Northeastern went 5-24 from the field (20.8%). A..J. Davis has a game high 17 points on 6-9 shooting. The Dukes find themselves up by 22 at the half. They've only led five teams by 20+ points. Those teams are: ETSU, UNCG, UNCW, Delaware, and Hofstra. The Brady bunch has managed to play this well with little offensive production out of Devon Moore. He has just two points and three assists in 19 minutes.

I also am at a loss of words for how well Rayshawn Goins is playing. He ALREADY has a double double with 13 points, 10 rebounds. His post presence is incredible tonight and what a game for him to step up. JMU is playing like a V-12 Ford F-950...if those even exist. Everything is clicking for them and clicking extremely well. All cylinder are firing.

When all is said and done, JMU is now just 20 MINUTES away from a trip to the NCAA tournament, something they haven't done since 1994.
